New Year New Us

2026 marks a transformative moment for us. Looking back on the past year, we are incredibly proud of how our community has stepped up—new members are taking on leadership roles, ensuring the gallery thrives for years to come.
You may have noticed our new branding and slightly updated name; these changes reflect our commitment to staying vibrant and relevant. However, the core of Fourth Street remains unchanged: our senior artists continue to guide the way, our shelves are still filled with unique artisan treasures, and our mission to support the arts in Ogemaw County is stronger than ever.
As we reinvent our space and launch new programs this year, we want to thank you for your unwavering support. Whether you’ve been with us for decades or are just discovering us, we’re so glad you’re here.

Featured Artists

Last Month: Carol Fink

Chuck’s ability to transform the simplicity of a black Bic pen and a soft pencil into such evocative, high-contrast art is a true inspiration to kick off the new year. Chuck reminds us all that profound art is found in the everyday. We are grateful for the sense of peace his work inspires and look forward to seeing his signature style throughout the month.

This Month: Chuck Schroeder

Carol’s artistic journey is a beautiful testament to the power of connection and resilience. Whether teaching the next generation in art camps or exploring mixed media and portraits, Carol’s passion for seeing the world through creative eyes is truly infectious. We are so grateful to Carol for sharing her vibrant talent and her inspiring spirit with us.

Young artists are invited to participate in the various projects, socialize with their peers, and learn from Cali and some of our other artists. If you know any young artists or would like to join the fun and share your skills with these young people, please reach out to the gallery or to Cali directly.

Upcoming Improvements

Big changes are on the way in the coming weeks. After an exhaustive analysis and taking input from the local art loving community, we have decided its time to make some updates to how our gallery operates. This includes everything from how we curate and display our art to the organization of our space. This will be a big process and may not be completed in a single month but we’re optimistic about the results and can’t wait to show off our new systems to our loyal patrons.

Artisan Market

While we include it in our name, the Artisan Market doesn’t feel like a full part of our business. We have some plans to correct this perception but wanted to take a moment to say this clearly. Our artisans and their work are no less important than the traditional art we display in our gallery. We love and respect these craftsmen and will continue working to integrate them into the wider gallery while highlighting their unique skills.
