Spring is in the Air

February has been a month of incredible transformation here at the gallery. We have finalized our new layout and are currently updating our displays to align with a more intentional, focused structure. The shift has already redefined the energy of the space; visitors have described the new atmosphere as deeply peaceful and relaxing, and we are thrilled by the wonderful feedback we’ve received so far.
As we move into March, the momentum continues with the installation of our new exterior signage, followed shortly by additional wayfinding throughout the building. We are also hard at work finalizing the details for our first exhibition of the year and our upcoming Arts and Crafters Market. To top it all off, we invite you to join us at the end of the month for our inaugural Gala of the year, featuring a stunning showcase of work by the talented Melinda Bylow.

Melinda Bylow

Heavily inspired by her time spent hiking and kayaking, her work explores the vibrant intensity of acrylics and the delicate play of light found in the wild. Whether she’s painting grand landscapes or "silly" images on stones to gift to children, her philosophy remains the same: art should be about the experience and, above all, the fun.

We are delighted to introduce this month’s featured artist, a talented painter who recently traded the bustle of Metro Detroit for the quiet inspiration of the Luzerne forests. After a long career as a corporate graphic artist, she returned to her personal practice in 2015, using art as a tool to push past her natural shyness and connect with the world around her.

Join Robert Fowler for assistance on any project of your passionate about. Bring your own project or start something new. In March, Robert will be available to assist with any projects those who join him are feeling passionate about.

Youth Art Studio

Throughout February, our Youth Art Studio was buzzing with creativity! We were thrilled to host Carol Fink and Dorothy Kolhof, who guided our young artists through various foundational painting projects. Beyond the canvas, they shared essential tips on tool care and brush maintenance—skills that will last a lifetime. A huge thank you to Carol and Dorothy for their time and expertise!
The momentum continues in March as we dive into more intricate techniques. We are excited to welcome Lori Ery, who will lead the group through a unique woven watercolor project. We can’t wait to see the masterpieces our young creators produce next!

We are beyond thrilled to announce the 2026 Youth Art Show. For four decades, our gallery has served as a professional stage for local students to share their imagination and talent with the world. Whether you’re a student ready to debut your latest masterpiece or a neighbor eager to support the next generation of visionaries, we can’t wait to see you there.
From vibrant 2-D paintings to intricate 3-D sculptures, let’s come together to celebrate the incredible creativity of our youth and keep the arts thriving in our community!

We are thrilled to invite you to our USA’s 250th Birthday Art Exhibition, sponsored by the West Branch Creative Art Association. From June 29th through July 11th, the 4th Street Gallery & Artisan Market will be transformed into a vibrant tribute to our nation’s milestone, featuring artists from all across Michigan.
